Take stance as a gentlemen and have a positive impact on your family, friends, community and the world at large. Siting back and allowing the slow erotion of the classic "gentleman" has put ourselves and our communities in poor stead.
We can make the difference..
While most view a "good person" as one who does no harm those around him, a gentleman knows that there more to the task. It's about giving back and helping those around you positivley. Think of the greatest gentlemen throughout time, they were all individuals who consistantly gave back to others. Think of the greatest gentlemen of all, our fathers and grandfathers, where giving to everyone but themselves, with the exception of a good night cap bourbon and a cold six pack on the weekends, was what they stood for.
We can change our families, communities and the world, but only through changing ourselves.
RESPECT
The first rule to be a true gentleman, at the pub or not, is "Respect for yourself and respect for others."
The fabric of all societies are woven with mutual respect amongst peers. The basic courtesy's that all should be privilaged too are the building blocks of great cultures.
While the age old addage that "All men are created equal" is not entirely accurate, the law that all people deserve the same respect and desency is certainly a truth.
So put your neighbors well being in the forefront of your mind and apply the creed of #Respect to every situation that comes your way, like a true gentleman.
be an example for gentlemen everywhere
A true gentleman shines forth in every situation and is a shining example for all his fellow gents and countrymen.
Let's face it, part of being a man is the acknoledgment that we are not perfect, we have faults large or small. But this doesn't mean we won't try to be all we can be!
Being a role model is a surefire way to encourage others to step up to the plate, and a way to refresh the minds of those who may let their manliness backslide. Think of it as a brotherly duty.
So next time you step into your favorite establishment, remember, your a representative of The Gentleman's Drinking Society and of all gentleman everywhere!
