GDS Rule No. 103.jpg

In recent years, with the rise in popularity of #scotch #whisky's, it has become popular to only seek out the coveted single #malt whisky, dismissing fine #blended malts. This irrational line of thinking has stemmed from ignorance and inexperience, doing a disservice not only to the fine assortment of blended malts, but to the #gentlemen alike who are missing out on some true gems. First, a brief lesson in single & blended malts: The Single Malt- "Not the product of a single batch or a single barrel, but a single distillery." The Blended Malt - "In short, a blend of single or grain malts from two or more distilleries." With the air now clear of misconceptions we can see why ignorance is truly not bliss. Bliss can be found in an intricate blend of malts and grains from different master distillers, infusing tastes together to make something great and unmatched. Such companies as Compass Box Whisky and Chivas Regal are fine examples of this craft. This is not dismiss the splendid and remarkable craft of the single malt, but only to broaden our spectrum, further educate ourselves and set ourselves apart from the bafoons. So next time you hear a scoffer vilify a blended whisky, set them straight, remind them of... #GDS Rule No. 103 "Don't discredit the blended malt."
